Today we are going to show you part number RA-10 from Rackem. What we have here is a lubrication rack for enclosed trailers. The top half is made to hold arousal cans while the bottom half is more for quarts of oil. Other bins can be added on such as RA-10B the quart size and RA-10C for the gallon size. We will go ahead and hang it on the wall and show you how it looks. You just hang it up on top first to stabilize it. Then you have 4 mounting points here so you can install it to the wall itself. There is also a bottom half that attaches to that. It hangs onto the bottom and again there are 2 more attachment points on the sides. There you have it for part number RA-10 from Rackem, the lubrication rack for enclosed trailers.

Trailer Brake Controller Install Ford F250 – etrailer.com

To begin our install, we have to gain access to the port. We take off this panel here, this comes down and we have to get back to the corner here to get to the actual plug. Once you have access to it inside, you’ll notice we had to take out this bundle assembly here which is not typically found. This is an after market assembly, probably an alarm system. We need to get back to this area here, you can see the gray plug which is the port for the tow package. On the F250 and 350 they’ll be up here, however there is one variance on this vehicle here which is this plug was mounted by the firewall. It’s a little different and for whatever reason, there’s a variant. We’ll show you that also. This is the port here which was moved into it’s non standard position. This is where we originally found it on the vehicle, we’ll go ahead and use that since the alarm system is in the original location.

E-Track Cargo Management System Review – etrailer.com

Today we are going to show you how to install part number E19148 from Erikson. What we have here is an E-track, this is the 5 foot long model. The actual E-track itself is 1/8 inch thick and the mounting holes are 1/4 inch in diameter. This assembly has a rating of 6,000 pounds. One thing you want to do when mounting the E-track is look for the wall studs on the trailer. In this case we are doing it on a wall but the same thing applies even if you are mounting it on the floor of a trailer. What you want to do is look for the studs in the wall. A dead giveaway, of course, are these screws that hold paneling in place. Across from here to here is the wall stud itself. It is basically a big channel with a couple flat spots on top to attach the plywood to.

Basically we just copied the same thing on our E-track and kind of bridged the 2. The whole thing is a little over 2 inches wide. So what you want to do if you have 1 you can find here then you can simply measure from the center and go out to the next one which is roughly around 24 inches, manufactures will vary. Then just copy those dimensions to the next stud. Then verify with the screws in the wall that are preexisting. Also what counts is when you go ahead and install the track make sure it sits as flat as possible on the wood. In this case, we did have some trim here but we simply took a section out so we could go straight across. We kind of cheated by following the edge of the trim, but at least it made it easy to keep it relatively level. When you have it on here, then you want to move it back and forth to find it at the best dimension and get it the way you want it.

This will cover 3 of the wall studs so you want to space the studs on the track as equal as possible. Once you get it set up and positioned the way you want it evenly over the studs, go ahead and mark off a couple holes on the studs with a marker. Something else that might be a good idea is to just throw a couple small screws in there to hold it up temporarily. The screws we are driving into the studs we will drill pilot holes for. Also remember the outside wall is about 2 inches away so do not go to far. You can even mark your drill bit so you do not go through both sides of the wall. After we have made our pilot holes we can go ahead and put in our fastener to hold it onto the wall. We are using some self tapping screws that are 1/4 inch in diameter by 1. You could use 1-1/4 inch also. Once they are torqued down put a tie down on it and give it a good pull. There you have it for part number E19148 from Erikson, the 5 foot 6,000 pound rated horizontal E-track.
